Chinese Horoscopes and Chinese Astrology

Each Chinese Astrology sign is represented by an animal. There are 12 animal signs in total, each corresponding to a lunar year, with each sign also having 5 elements (Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal & Water). In certain years, particular elements are more prominent. For instance in 2005, the ‘wood’ element is very prominent so therefore it is 2005, Year of the Wood Rooster. The special combination of the Sign and Element only occurs once every 60 years.

As Chinese Astrology is one of the oldest types of Astrology, the origins of naming the years after animals is unknown. But a popular legend is that Buddha (c.563-c.483 B.C) invited all the animals to visit him, and as a demonstration of thanks to those who came, he dedicated a year to each of the animals according to the order which they arrived: Rat, Ox, Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, Snake, Horse, Sheep, Monkey, Rooster, Dog & Pig.

Running

Running in dreams is a a fairly common occurence. It usually signifies escaping from a situation which may be difficult, emotional or problematic. In your dream, if you escape, this is symbolic that you will escape in reality. If you a running on the spot, or feel frozen in your dream, it is likely that you have anxiety. It is also a possibility that you are running to something?!

Teeth

Teeth are another common object of dreaming. Teeth are symbolic of aggressiveness, and when we can't 'get our teeth into something', this reflects that we are not totally in control.

Crystals: Labradorite

Those not familiar with Crystals, apart from the good cups and bowls that grandma keeps in the cupboard, might be unaware of the healing powers of crystals and stones. A few of the more well known Crystals are Diamonds, Emeralds, Rose Quartz, Amethyst, Lapis, Ruby, Sapphire, Jade and Agate. I'd like to introduce to you Labradorite .

Labradorite is a a protective stone, a bringer of light. It's beautiful and eyecatching colouring is usually a dark blue with green, turquoise or gold highlights. It calms overactive minds whilst energising the imagination by bringing up new ideas. Labradorite treats disorders of the eyes & brain, relieves stress & regulates metabolism. It treats cold, gout & rheumatism, balances hormones & relieves menstrual tension also lowers blood pressure.

Some people believe that you shouldn't let others touch your crystals, and should you need to cleanse your crystals, a good method is to bury them in the ground wrapped in silk or cotton for 24 hours. Another technique is to soak the crystal in a cup of sea salt.

Don’t forget to recharge your crystals after a period of time to re-energise them and give them back their healing properties. You can put them out during the Full moon (25th March).

March: New Moon in Pisces

The Fool - Tarot Card

Faith, hope, trust and contentment, high ideals and the possibility of a brighter tomorrow, choice and personal effort. These are the main aspects of the tarot card, 'The Fool'. I thought I would share with you some insights on this card of the major arcana.

If you draw this card, it indicates that you will want to be happy and you are searching for the thing that will bring it/ or for a better understanding of the workings of destiny and the universe. You seem to be waiting for all the pieces to fall in place, and will be feeling discontent or uneasy as you inwardly know that there is a better way of life than what you are living now.

In terms of relationships, The Fool usually means that someone may make you feel a fool for being cheated, deceived or abused. Well it's that time of year again - the time to think of others. I was recently sent an e-mail, and although I don't believe in 'curses' from chain letters if you don't pass them on (although i do happen to know a few 'bad luck' omens and superstitions.. but that's another story), I still thought that the message was important. This is what the email read:

It's a stressful time of year; running around preparing yourself for the holidays, buying presents, visiting friends and family, and whether you celebrate Christmas or not, you're bound to feel the effects of the holiday season. So I wanted to wish all my fellow cosmic travellers a safe time during this busy season. Take it easy- keep the vibe positive!

Summer Dreaming

With November coming to a close, and Summer just about upon us, it reminded me of a dream I had recently. I usually am pretty good at remembering my dreams, but for some reason this one slipped through.

The dream went like this: I was walking along the beach and I could feel the sand between my toes, and a faint cool breeze washed the sweet smell of the ocean over my face. The sea lapped at the shore and it was very calm and serene, whilst full of warmth at the same time. It all seemed so perfect, and I am greatful to be able to remember that happy place again.

My dear friend at Destiny Psychics [http://www.destinypsychics.com] who do dream interpretations tell me that dreaming of summer indicates that joyous events are on the horizon- days full of prosperity. So it looks like happy days for me this summer.

For those who dream about the winter season, it's not all doom and gloom. It signifies a time of rest with happiness and financial gains upcoming. Autumn/Fall is a period of transformations and a change in the surroundings therefor if you dream about this, you may experience many ups and downs at this stage in your life.
